Nursing Home Leaders Criticize Proposal for Minimum Staffing Requirements, Call for More Targeted Approach

The administration’s proposal for adding minimum staffing requirements for nursing homes isn’t realistic in light of the ongoing workforce crisis facing the long term care industry, the American Health Care Association (AHCA) and the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) said in a March 8 letter to Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra.
