U.S. Court in Virginia Tosses FCA Action Against Walgreens over Hepatitis C Drugs

A federal court dismissed December 3 a False Claims Act (FCA) lawsuit against Walgreen Co. alleging one of its pharmacies defrauded the Virginia Medicaid program of nearly $800,000 by submitting claims for hepatitis C drugs of patients who were ineligible for the pricey medications.
