Dermatology Practice Will Stop Collecting COVID Testing Results to Resolve EEOC Genetic Discrimination Charge

Tampa, FL-based Brandon Dermatology agreed to cease collecting COVID-19 testing results from employees’ family members to resolve an Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) finding that the conduct violated the Genetic Information Non-Discrimination Act (GINA), which generally prohibits employers from collecting genetic information about employees and their family members.
