OIG Blesses Device Maker’s Proposal to Subsidize Clinical Trial for Medicare Participants

A medical device manufacturer can subsidize certain Medicare cost-sharing obligations in a clinical trial without risking administrative sanctions, the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) concluded in an advisory opinion posted November 19.
