OIG Issues Drug Rebate Final Rule

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) concluded November 18 its review of a controversial final rule that will “revise the discount safe harbor” under the Anti-Kickback Statute for rebates that drug manufacturers pay to pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) and health plans.
