OIG Says Drug Maker May Provide Free Units of Antipsychotic Drug to Hospitals for Inpatient Use

The Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) agreed in an advisory opinion posted November 16 not to impose administrative sanctions on a drug manufacturer that provides limited free trial units of its long-lasting antipsychotic drug to certain hospitals for inpatient use.
