Michigan Bariatric Practice Reaches Resolution Agreement of Alleged HIV Discrimination

A Michigan bariatric practice has reached a voluntary resolution agreement with the Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights and the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Michigan following allegations that it refused to evaluate or provide surgery to a patient because of his HIV status.
