Proposed Rule Includes $2.5 Billion Medicare Payment Bump for Hospitals in FY 2022

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued April 27 a proposed rule that would increase Medicare spending to hospitals under the inpatient prospective payment system (IPPS) by roughly $2.5 billion, in fiscal year (FY) 2022, according to a fact sheet.
