West Virginia Cities, Counties Reaches $400 Million Opioid Settlement with Drug Distributors

Three of the country’s major drug distributors—AmerisourceBergen Drug Co., Cardinal Health Inc., and McKesson Corp.—will pay $400 million to resolve claims against them for their alleged roles in fueling the West Virginia's opioid epidemic under a settlement agreement announced by West Virginia Attorney General Patrick Morrisey on August 1.
