GAO: Closure of Rural Hospitals Leads to Reduced Access to Care

Closure of rural hospitals has a significant impact on access to care, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) found in a report released January 21. The report noted 101 rural hospitals closed their doors between January 2013 and February 2020.
