U.S. Court in Missouri Allows Claim Under Section 1557 over Gender Dysphoria Treatment Coverage Denial

A federal court in Missouri refused April 25 to dismiss a claim that defendant St. Louis University Hospital violated the Affordable Care Act’s (ACA’s) nondiscrimination provision when it declined to provide health insurance coverage benefits for treatment of gender dysphoria.
