OIG Issues Data on Medicare Part D Beneficiaries’ Opioid Use, Treatment During COVID-19 Pandemic

At least 5,000 Medicare Part D beneficiaries per month suffered an opioid overdose during the first eight months of 2020, according to a report issued by the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) on February 4.
