CMS Issued Proposed Rule to Update Medicare Payment Rates, Policies for Dialysis Facilities in 2022

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued July 1 a proposed rule that would boost Medicare payments under the End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) Prospective Payment System (PPS) by 1.3% for hospital-based facilities and 1.2% for freestanding facilities in calendar year 2022.
