Ambulance Company Owners Draw Prison Terms for $10.8 Million Fraud Scheme

Clifford P. Shoemake and Kimberly Clyde “Casey” Conner, owners of Guam Medical Transport (GMT), were sentenced to serve 71 and 63 months in prison, respectively, for their roles in a health care fraud and money laundering scheme that resulted in a loss to the United States of approximately $10.8 million, one of the largest single Medicare ambulance fraud cases ever prosecuted by the Department of Justice, the agency announced June 30.
