Third Circuit Upholds Decision Blocking New Jersey Hospital Merger

The Third Circuit upheld March 22 a preliminary injunction blocking Hackensack Meridian Health Inc.’s acquisition of Englewood Healthcare Foundation, finding the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) established a reasonable probability that the merger of the two New Jersey hospitals would substantially lessen competition.
