FTC Says Health Apps Must Notify Consumers of Unauthorized Data Disclosures

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) issued September 15 a policy statement indicating that health apps and connected devices must comply with a rule requiring them to notify consumers if their data is disclosed or acquired without their authorization.
