Seventh Circuit Holds Public Hospital Not Vicariously Liable for Patient Misdiagnosis

A public hospital in Illinois was immune from a claim of vicarious liability in a negligence action brought after a patient who was misdiagnosed with anxiety died from a heart attack a day later, the Seventh Circuit held June 22.
