Pharma CEO Pleads Guilty to Misdemeanor Count of Distributing Misbranded Opioid Product

Shaun Thaxter, chief executive officer of pharmaceutical manufacturer Indivior PLC, pled guilty in federal court to a misdemeanor count of violating the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act by causing the distribution of misbranded Suboxone Film in interstate commerce, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Virginia announced June 30.
