Second Circuit Tosses Whistleblower Action Against EviCore

The Second Circuit affirmed February 28 the dismissal of a qui tam action alleging defendant eviCore Healthcare MSI, LLC rubber stamped reimbursement determinations for medical services that it was contracted to provide to private insurers that cover Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries, essentially providing “worthless services” in violation of the False Claims Act (FCA).
