CMS Releases CY 2024 OPPS and ASC Proposed Rule

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued the calendar year (CY) 2024 Hospital Outpatient Prospective Payment System (OPPS) and Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) Proposed Rule on July 13, 2023. The Proposed Rule addresses many pressing issues in health care, such as promoting health equity, expanding access to behavioral health care, correcting 340B underpayments, improving transparency, and addressing medical product shortages. The comment period for the Proposed Rule is open until September 11, 2023. The Final Rule will be published in early November.
