AHLA Publishes "Health Care Contracts: A Clause-by-Clause Guide to Drafting and Negotiation"

  • October, 05, 2021

The American Health Law Association (AHLA) publishes Health Care Contracts: A Clause-by-Clause Guide to Drafting and Negotiation, a book designed to facilitate the day-to-day work of attorneys relatively new to negotiating, drafting, and/or reviewing health care vendor contracts, service contracts, employment contracts—contracts related to the operation of a health care organization.

With a focus on provisions commonly included in health care agreements, this publication will help health law professionals negotiate and build a well-developed contract that complies with the law. Expert analysis contains more than 180 downloadable sample clauses, discusses the context in which they are used, and offers practical advice for negotiating. Chapters cover fraud and abuse laws, health care information privacy laws, indemnification, representations and warranties, termination provisions, and more.

“This title is destined to become a fundamental resource,” says Rob Anderson, AHLA’s Senior Director of Publishing. “It was conceived based on input from AHLA’s early career members and reflects insight from experienced health care attorneys across the United States.”

AHLA’s Health Care Contracts: A Clause-by-Clause Guide to Drafting and Negotiation is available to preorder through AHLA’s store on the LexisNexis website for both members of AHLA and the broader health law professionals community.
