AHLA Invited to the 2020 HHS Telehealth Innovation Summit

  • December, 17, 2020

AHLA has been invited by Eric D. Hargan, Deputy Secretary, U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Office of the Secretary, to participate in the 2020 HHS Telehealth Innovation Summit on Tuesday, December 22, 2020.

The summit will bring together public, private, and academic stakeholders to identify policies that have the most potential and the greatest impact. It is designed for participants to hear from HHS on what they have learned and allow for HHS to hear from leaders in the telehealth community about challenges and opportunities they face in reimbursement, best practices, public-private partnerships, health care resilience, biosecurity, and the future of telehealth.

“I am honored to participate on behalf of AHLA,” comments David S. Cade, AHLA’s CEO and Executive Vice President. “This is a true testament to the leadership of our Health Information Technology Practice Group and the high-quality education they continue to produce in this area of health law for our entire community.”

HHS plans to identify and learn from effective innovative approaches and best practices implemented by non-HHS organizations in order to inform HHS priorities and programs going forward.
