AHLA Celebrates the Winners of the Annual L. Edward Bryant, Jr. National Health Law Transactional Competition

Washington, D.C. -  AHLA celebrates the winners of the L. Edward Bryant, Jr. National Health Law Transactional Competition which took place on March 22, 2024, and was hosted by the Loyola University Chicago School of Law 

Featuring 20 teams from across the country, this competition provided law students with hands-on experience in corporate and regulatory health care law practice. Participants demonstrated transactional skills and regulatory analysis by offering legal counsel on fictitious business scenarios. Additionally, students drafted legal memoranda outlining their advice and strategies for their hypothetical clients. 

AHLA recognized the competition winners with exclusive access to Association resources and complimentary registration.  

The winners of this competition are as follows:   

Champions:  

  • Belmont University College of Law 
    Team Captain: Katelyn Watlington, Student Names: Katelyn Watlington, Ally Bojczuk, Kendall McMullen, Faculty/Staff Advisor: Deborah Farringer 

Second Place:  

  • University of Florida Levin College of Law 
    Team Captain: Aubrey Mys, Student names: Aubrey Mys, Joshua Jacobs, Nicole Pomerantz, Gus Formato, Faculty/Staff Advisor: Lars Noah 

Third Place:  

  • Loyola University School of Law 
    Student Names: Grace Connelly, Johannes Alvarez-Rivero, Natasha Ganesh
