HHS Announces Provider Relief Funds To All American Health Care Providers

Bloomberg Law (10/22, Stein, Subscription Publication) reports, “Behavioral health professionals, like psychiatrists, and a variety of other health-care providers who don’t accept Medicare or Medicaid are now eligible for pandemic assistance under the Provider Relief Fund, the HHS announced Thursday. Dentists, chiropractors, hospice providers, osteopathic physicians, laboratories, and eye care providers are among those newly eligible.” Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar “said in a statement: ‘We have worked closely with stakeholders across the healthcare system to ensure that the Provider Relief Fund reaches all American healthcare providers that have been impacted by the pandemic.’”
