AstraZeneca Says Its Coronavirus Vaccine Is Up To 90% Effective
- November 24, 2020
The Washington Post (11/23, Booth, Johnson) reports AstraZeneca “became the third pharmaceutical company to announce remarkable results from late-stage trials of a coronavirus vaccine, saying that its candidate, developed by Oxford University, is up to 90 percent effective.” AstraZeneca’s vaccine candidate “may be a more realistic option for much of the world, as it is likely to be less expensive and does not need to be stored at subzero temperatures.”
The AP (11/23) reports that “no hospitalizations or severe cases of COVID-19 were reported in those receiving the vaccine.”
