Bloomberg Law (7/14, Lee, Subscription Publication) reports that “hospitals will have more options to buy” the “promising Covid-19 treatment” dexamethasone “that’s been in short supply for a month, thanks to relaxed production regulations the FDA announced Tuesday.” Facilities including “pharmacies have the green light to produce intravenous dexamethasone and sell it to hospitals that can’t get it from their regular suppliers.” Bloomberg Law adds, “The IV version of the generic steroid has been in short supply since mid-June after research showed it reduces mortality in certain Covid-19 patients.”
