Medicare Will Cover Monoclonal Antibody Infusions To Treat Patients With COVID-19 Without Cost-Sharing

Modern Healthcare (11/11, Brady, Subscription Publication) reports CMS announced “Medicare will cover monoclonal antibody infusions to treat” patients with “COVID-19 with no cost-sharing for beneficiaries during the public health emergency.” The agency announced the policy a day after the FDA “allowed emergency use of Eli Lilly’s bamlanivimab, an antibody that helps the immune system fight the virus.”
