HHS Extends Deadline For Medicaid Providers To Apply For Federal Relief Funding

Bloomberg Law (7/31, Brown, Subscription Publication) reported HHS announced that Medicaid providers hit hard by the pandemic will be given an additional month to apply for federal relief funding. Back in June, HHS “allocated $15 billion to health-care providers that primarily serve low-income and uninsured patients and that hadn’t yet received funding,” but the initial deadline of July 20 was difficult for many to meet, so HHS has extended the deadline to August 28.
