US District Court Dismisses Nurses’ Lawsuit Against Hospital For Allegedly Failing To Curb Spread Of Coronavirus

Reuters (5/2, Bhalla) reports US District Judge Jesse Furman dismissed a lawsuit filed by the New York State Nurses Association against Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx claiming the hospital failed to provide equipment and adopt practices to stop the spread of coronavirus. Judge Furman said he lacked the authority to address the matter but urged both sides to “continue their efforts to reach an amicable resolution of their disputes.”
