HHS To Distribute $10B In Second Round Of COVID-19 High Impact Area Funding To Hospitals

Fox News (7/17, Rivas) reported HHS, through the Health Resources and Services Administration, last week “announced it will distribute $10 billion in a second round of COVID-19 high impact area funding to hospitals starting” this week. Given that areas across the country are seeing “spikes in virus cases and hospitalizations, HHS said it recognizes the need to get the funds to frontline health workers fast.”
Modern Healthcare (7/17, Cohrs, Subscription Publication) reported, “Hospitals that had more than 161 COVID-19 admissions between January 1 and June 10 will be paid $50,000 for each COVID-19 admission.”
