SEIU Files Lawsuit Against HCA Alleging Violations Of Federal Pandemic Guidance

CNBC (8/21, Feuer) reported the Service Employees International Union has filed a lawsuit against HCA Healthcare, accusing the country’s largest hospital chain of “recklessly endangering staff and patients by violating federal coronavirus guidance.” In a statement, HCA vowed to defend the lawsuit “vigorously,” adding that “No one takes the health and safety of our workers more seriously than we do, and since day one, our top priority has been to protect them – to keep them safe and keep them employed – so they can best care for our patients.”
