Women's Network—A Day in the Life: Danica J. Sun

Nearly a decade ago, Danica began her legal career in medical malpractice defense as an associate attorney for a boutique law firm in Tampa, Florida, representing insurers and individual providers before transitioning to a larger firm handling nursing home defense litigation matters across Florida. In 2020, she landed her dream role as an Associate Counsel at Cleveland Clinic. Today, she serves as Counsel with her work ranging from regulatory compliance and Medicare hearings to behavioral health law and patient safety. Danica lives in the Palm Beach area with her husband, Brent, and their spirited Norwegian Buhund, Gunnar, where she enjoys playing tennis and pickleball. She also proudly sits on AHLA’s Women’s Leadership Council as a Vice Chair with an upcoming appointment as a Vice Chair for AHLA’s Health Care Liability and Litigation Practice Group
