First Reflections—Continuity In a Time of Rapid Change

As I begin my term as President of our association, I am struck by the interwoven themes of continuity and change in both our industry and AHLA. I cannot recall another time in my 38 years of membership when so many major substantive changes in health law, policy, and practice have occurred in such rapid-fire succession. The sheer number of changes provides unlimited opportunities for the high-quality analysis, explanation, and instruction for which AHLA is well known. The speed at which those changes are occurring, however, significantly enhances the challenge of consistently delivering the level of excellence our members have come to expect and rightfully demand. And yet, day in and day out, AHLA continues to meet that challenge across the entire range of our educational content, from in-person conferences to webinars, on-demand offerings, and a host of informative publications—continuity in a time of rapid change.
