Man Pleads Guilty to Operating Kickback Scheme

Timothy Klein pled guilty to conspiracy to pay and receive health care kickbacks in connections with a scheme to defraud Medicare and Medicare drug plan sponsors, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of New York Michael DiGiacomo announced January 27.
Klein, who operated JRS Group, LLC, and his co-conspirators submitted prescription drug claims to Medicare and Medicare drug plan sponsors for items that were medically unnecessary and procured through kickbacks and bribes, and diverted fraud proceeds for their own personal use and benefit, among other things, according to a press release.
