For those familiar with the 1980s Atari game “Frogger,” you’ll recall that the objective is to get the frog from one side of the road to the other while dodging cars, trucks, and other impediments. Some of the hazards were immediately apparent, while others sprung out of nowhere. A similar concept applies to care management services—some billing, compliance, and areas of fraud are readily apparent while others are more nuanced and may not be initially discernable. Like the frog in the video game dodging cars and trucks, the goal is to get to the other side unscathed. Meaning, the submission of a clean claim with the lowest possible risk of any coding and/or fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA) violation.
