HHS Reports Major Uptick in Primary Care Telehealth Visits for Medicare Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

Nearly half (43.5%) of Medicare primary care visits in April were provided via telehealth, compared to less than one percent (0.1%) in February before COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE), according to a new report released by the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) through the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation.
