OIG Says Pharmaceutical Manufacturer Can Provide Travel, Lodging Assistance to Patients Prescribed Its One-Time Drug Therapy

The Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) will not impose administrative sanctions in connection with a pharmaceutical company’s proposal to provide financial assistance for travel, lodging, and other expenses to certain patients prescribed its drug, according to an advisory opinion posted December 31, 2020.
