House Panel Advances Spending Bill with $7 Billion in HHS Funding Cuts

A panel of the House Appropriations Committee advanced September 2 a bill that would cut the Department of Health and Human Service’s (HHS’) discretionary funding for fiscal year 2026 by 6%, or $7 billion, from last year’s enacted level.
