OCR Resolves HIPAA Enforcement Actions Against Dental Practices Under Right of Access Probe

The Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights (OCR) announced September 20 that three dental practices will pay a combined $135,000 to resolve potential violations of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rule’s right of access standard.
