States Back $7.4 Billion Opioid Settlement with Purdue Pharma, Sackler Family

All 50 states, the District of Columbia, and U.S. territories agreed to a $7.4 billion settlement with the Sackler family and their company Purdue Pharma L.P., the manufacturer of OxyContin, to resolve state and local government litigation over the company’s role in fueling the opioid epidemic.
