Proposed OPPS Rule Renews 340B Payment Rate Reductions, Expands Site-Neutral Payments

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is proposing cuts to the 340B drug discount program reimbursement that are expected to reduce Medicare spending by $5.7 billion next year but that hospitals groups are warning would jeopardize the care safety-net hospitals provide to the vulnerable populations that they serve.
