District of Columbia Ordered to Revamp System for Transitioning Nursing Home Residents with Disabilities to Community Settings

The District of Columbia violated the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) by failing to comply with the Omstead integration mandate, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia held December 31, 2024 in a long-running class action brought by nursing home residents who are physically disabled.
