Medical Tech Company Agrees to $3.6 Million Settlement of Self-Disclosed False Claims

Global medical technology company Bioventus, LLC, has agreed to pay the government $3,609,087 to resolve allegations that it violated the False Claims Act by submitting improperly completed certificates of medical necessity (CMN) for medically unnecessary devices, U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of North Carolina Matthew G. T. Martin announced February 25.
