Eighth Circuit Finds Peer Review Immunity Defeats Neurosurgeon’s Defamation Claim

The Eighth Circuit held June 2 that the Minnesota peer review statute shielded several physicians and a health system from liability in an action brought by a neurosurgeon after his privileges were suspended alleging defamation and tortious interference.
