Proposed Rule Includes $4 Billion Bump in Medicare Hospital Payments in FY 2026

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued April 11 a proposed rule that would increase Medicare payments to hospitals under the inpatient prospective payment system (IPPS) by $4 billion overall in fiscal year (FY) 2026, according to an agency fact sheet.
