U.S. Court in Arkansas Tosses Worker’s Title VII Action Against Religious Hospital

A religious hospital was not liable under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 for discrimination after allegedly terminating one of its workers who refused an influenza vaccination on religious grounds, a federal court in Arkansas ruled March 17.
