U.S. Court in Massachusetts Dismisses ECPA Claims Against Hospitals over Website Disclosures

The U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts dismissed March 11 a proposed class action against Sturdy Memorial Hospital, Inc. alleging it unlawfully allowed Google to intercept patients’ communications with the health system by embedding the user-tracking technology Google Analytics on its website.
