U.S. Court in Texas Nixes FTC Rule Expanding Premerger Disclosures

The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas vacated February 12 a Federal Trade Commission (FTC) final rule issued in 2024 that broadened the scope of information merger parties must disclose to regulators before closing a deal.
