U.S. Court in DC Rejects Out-of-State Hospitals’ Bid to Block $4 Billion in Federal Payments to California Medicaid Program

The U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia refused April 21 to enjoin federal agencies from paying roughly $4 billion in supplemental Medicaid funds to California after out-of-state hospitals complained that the state’s plan for distributing the payments impermissibly discriminated against them in favor of in-state hospitals.
