Providers Agree to $1.72 Million Settlement of False Billing Allegations

Three providers have agreed to pay total of $1.72 million to the United States and Tennessee to resolve liability under the False Claims Act for the alleged improper billing for electro-acupuncture using a device known as “P-Stim” that does not qualify for reimbursement under Medicare or TennCare, Don Cochran, U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee, announced January 4
